Should I use primer?
DCM-PRO Fleece-Back Membrane
Primer is not always necessary but always recommended. Warmup recommends the use of Ardex P51, EcoPrimGrip, Mapei SM Primer and the Customer Building Products primer.
For fleece-back applications: a solvent-free primer is recommended.
For a peel-and-stick application on an OSB subfloor: primer is required
For Peel-and-stick applications on a clean surface such as a plywood subfloor, Warmup insulation board, or concrete slab: primer is not required. The use of primer will always improve bonding.
Tip from Warmup: When in doubt, use primer!
