What does the DEL Dip Switch mean?

DEL Dip Switch activates the Delay-Off feature on the DS-8 controller.

The DEL feature allows the DS-8 controller to continue to operate even after it senses the precipitation has stopped. This will prevent any residual moisture from re-freezing into ice.

When this switch is OFF, the system has a delay off cycle of only two minutes. If this switch is ON the system continues to operate for the length of time determined by the LD (Long Delay) switch. This ranges anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours and is tailored to your specific installation.
