A: Underfloor heating system is one of the most reliable heating systems available and once the heating wire or pipe has been laid down, the final floor finish installed and the system tested, there is a minimal chance for underfloor heating developing a fault. However, there are a few precautions you can take to ensure that you are getting an underfloor heating system that will last and operate efficiently year after year.
Types of underfloor heating warranties
Different systems may have different length warranties, often depending on the number of components that form the system and how easy these are to replace should a fault develop. Warmup electric underfloor heating, loose wire and underfloor heating mat and StickyMat are backed by a Lifetime Warranty. Water based underfloor heating systems which consist of various components often have different lengths of a warranty. A long warranty on an underfloor heating pipe and wire is desirable as fixing a fault requires lifting up the floor. So, the more confident you can be in the quality of the system the better.

Not all companies are the same, even if they are claiming to offer similar length warranties. It is advisable to ensure that a company or brand offering a warranty has some substance before making a purchase.
You can find a variety of underfloor heating brands offering long warranties, but always check the real substance of these warranties. If the company offering the warranty is no longer in existence should a system fail, the warranty will be of no use.
